It must go without saying that I am a massive fan of Leeds band Vessels who have finished recording their second album out in Texas this year. The new tracks sound incredible and if they are in your area, grab a ticket to catch them on tour now.

I find that the climatic landscape sounds they create are so rich in texture that it becomes almost effortless use their music with film.

This is an excerpt taken from Crazy Joanna “a socially conscientious, dance film integrated work recounting the anguished escape of a woman trapped in abusive relationships.” The full 35min dance performance isn’t touring again this year, but plans are already being made to show this work with it’s predecessor Blind Passion and the new work in development Minor Tears, which will complete Slanjayvah Danza’s trillogy exploring passion.
