Woolgather Art Prize

woolgather Art
Just got news back that I’ve made the finalists selection for the Woolgather Art Prize 2011. The piece Transitions has been selected and both myself from Little Northern Light and Jenni Wren from Slanjayvah Danza are entered as a collaborative piece. The Woolgather project is based on the act of giving art to the public and a belief in more intangible qualities that keep driving a practitioner.

The exhibition will take place in May, more news on that as I know where and when.

In March my bio will go live Here In the next month I will spend some time at, Woolgather’s request, pondering and then constructing a video that explores “How I sustain my practice and how I support a creative lifestyle”. This at first seemed an easy question, until I realised that I don’t question what I do naturally and my creative process is a continual path of learning and experimentation. I’m looking forward to finding the answers, who knows they may even change my own perceptions of practice.
