Aurora Fearnley is an award-winning writer/director with a slate of genre features and TV projects in development, including TIPPING POINT, with BFI Vision Awardee Jude Goldrei at Lunar Lander Films.

After winning The Pitch at Pinewood Aurora shot ambitious sci-fi short PULSAR starring David Gyasi (INTERSTELLAR) and Jessie Buckley (WILD ROSE). The film has won numerous awards at 30+ festivals and is distributed by Gunpowder & Sky sci-fi channel DUST. Since going live in May 2019 the film has been viewed 1.7 million times.

Aurora's folk horror feature Speak its Name won the 2019 Euroscript award for best treatment. It is now in development with producer Neil Chordia.

In 2017 Aurora’s short film STRUCK, produced by 104 Films, screened at Sydney, Edinburgh and Cork Film Festival before online release by Shortoftheweek.com for International Women's Day.

Directors UK commissioned her suspenseful short MURMUR, which won many awards including Breakthrough Filmmaker at The Smalls and it can now be viewed on the BFI Player. She was also funded by the UKFC to direct supernatural short SHADES OF LIVING. A winner of the international Nokia short contest saw her sci-fi DANIEL première at Edinburgh International Film Festival, followed by her Epic Award short LIFE ON THE LINE now on Amazon Prime and in America with ShortsTV.

Aurora has participated in BAFTA CREW x BFI NETWORK, Reykjavik Talent Lab, Filmonomics, Creative England’s Talent Centre, Cinesisters, VFX Script to Screen Ireland, Screen Yorkshire’s Triangle and WFTV’s mentoring scheme.
